Montagne Magique Ski School is made up of small group of highly qualified ski instructors. They have been in Nendaz and the 4 Vallees for years – each having their own passion for skiing and the mountains. Their teaching expertise will help you enjoy you time on skis whether you are a beginner or skiing off piste!

CHARLOTTE

Ski Instructor

Qualification: BASI Level 4 ISTD
SWISS Patent

Charlotte has been working as a ski instructor in Nendaz for the past 10 years, where she’s lucky enough to live all year round! She has a deep rooted love for skiing and the mountains. She has passion for all parts of skiing from lapping the moguls, playing in the trees or skiing the piste she is constantly trying to improve her own skiing as well as others. Often seen with a trail of kids behind her, her enthusiasm for skiing and the mountains is endless!

Originally from Devon, she’s always loved the outdoors and was lucky enough to start skiing at the age of 6. During her time off from teaching she will be found skiing for herself or touring up the mountain!

PIERS

Ski Instructor

Qualification: BASI Level 3 ISIA Alpine
BASI Level 4 Teaching

Languages: English

Piers has spent over ten years working in the Alps and has been based in Nendaz as ski instructor for five seasons. During that time he has got to know the 4 Vallées and believes it to be one of the greatest ski areas he has skied in, with plenty to offer for levels of ski lessons.

Piers is currently working towards his BASI level 4 Qualification and the ISTD stamp which is the highest qualification in British snowsports.

Outside of skiing Piers enjoys a variety of sports including squash, hiking, wake-boarding and mountain biking. He also loves cooking and in particular BBQ'ing! Piers' favourite time of the year is the spring when there is some great morning ski conditions followed by an après barbecue.

SANDER

Qualification: Swiss Brevet Federal
German Staatliche

Sander is known for his amazing skiing, terrain knowledge and love for nature. He was born in the Netherlands and started skiing when he was 4 years old in the Swiss Alps. He started working as a snowsports professional in 2000.

He mostly coaches skiers improving their off-piste technique, guiding them safely whilst always finding ways of improving their technique. Mountain safety is his other main priority during these trips, and so great care is taken regarding hazardous terrain and risk management.

Sander also works for the Snow Safety Centre. He has worked for many years as an SSC ski guide, providing training in mountain and avalanche awareness. Therefore he always knows the latest risk management and search & rescue techniques.

In his spare time Sander is usually freeriding high up on the mountain, cruising down steep slopes or through narrow couloirs and is always on the lookout for fresh new routes.

FINBAR

Ski Instructor

Qualification: BASI Level 3

Finbar grew up skiing in the Scottish mountains where he fell in love with skiing at an early age. Exploring the natural off piste terrain in Scotland led to him becoming an established freeride skier who competes at international level.
Since finishing school Finbar has completed four seasons in the Alps and one in New Zealand. He has a wealth of knowledge in the ski industry with experience in not just instructing but also coaching, rental and retail.
On his days off you’ll find him going upside down or out competing at another resort.

MIKKEL

Ski Instructor

Mikkel first put in ski’s in France with his twin brother when he was 4 years old, igniting a true passion for skiing. From the age of 14-16, he left Denmark and was based in Bruson, Verbier where he competed in the junior Freeride World Tour.

Having been in Nendaz since he was 17, he has dedicated his time to pushing himself as a freerider, competing as well as starting his teaching career. He is one of the most dedicated skiers out there, his enthusiasm and love for skiing and the mountains is abundantly evident.

CHRIS

Ski Instructor

Qualification: BASI Level 3

Chris has been teaching all sorts of people to ski in Nendaz for the past 17 years so he knows the
area extremely well. He has a passion for helping people develop their skiing to their full potential
and sharing the fantastic seven star Quatre Vallees experience with them. In addition to traditional
alpine skiing Chris is also an avid telemark skier and keen ski tourer and loves sharing his love of the
mountains with anybody who will go out with him.
In the summer Chris has worked delivering yachts around Europe and keeps ski fit riding bicycles up
hills in the Alps, Pyrenees and Dolomites: almost as much fun as coming down them on skis in the
winter!
