Nendaz – the core of the 4 Vallées
Nendaz is located right in the middle of the famous 4 Vallées. Which is made up of the main mountain villages of Verbier, Veysonnaz, Thyon, and Nendaz. Offering 412 km of some of the best European skiing, Nendaz and the 4 Vallées has something for everyone.
It’s world famous for freeride/backcountry terrain. The wide choice of vertical distance from top to bottom and offering some of the best challenging intro to off-piste terrain. With 8 unique itinerary routes (which are secure off-piste routes) across the region is one of the main attractions. Nendaz has the quickest access to the Mont Fort (3,330m), the highest area in the 4 Vallées. Making it the easiest starting place to explore all the terrain available in the region during your stay.

For beginners…
If you’re on holiday with a group of mixed abilities, it’s the perfect venue to ensure everyone has a great time. The beginner’s area is at the top of the main gondola. Right from the start you feel like you’re ‘getting the full mountain experience’.
A huge frozen lake offers a vast range of progressions for the novice skier (magic carpets, kindergarten ski area and a series of tow lifts). This area also has a small café and activities for children, such as sledging and tubing, to break up the learning experience and keep it fun!
…And beyond…
With a choice of wide, open pistes to move on to, allows ALL skiers to really progress. And for more advanced skiers, there’s endless pistes and hidden areas to explore. If challenging black pistes and a former world cup run aren’t enough to test you, there are a number of itinerary runs to choose from – these will definitely give your legs a real work out!

Great village accessibility
Most hotels are all 5 minutes’ walk to the Télécabine lift station. Nendaz has a fantastic free bus service with 5 routes running throughout the season, so no matter where you stay, you can get around easily.
Hidden nuggets for great lunches
There are a number of tasty lunch venues. Many of which can be accessed with or without skis, giving everyone the unique mountain experience. In the evenings there’s so much choice for traditional alpine cuisine.
Nendaz accommodation at sensible prices

Easy access to Nendaz
Another big pull to Nendaz is that it’s only a 2hr drive from Geneva Airport or a 2hr train direct to Sion. Then 25 minute taxi or bus up. So this means you could be sitting at your desk in the morning and easily be in Nendaz that same day just in time for dinner – so perfect for those long weekend getaways!
Local party vibe
Nendaz doesn’t claim to be a big party resort like Verbier. Instead there’s a more local vibe where you really feel that you can mix in well with the locals in the bars and restaurants. There’s still the infamous après scene and a number of great bars to party in.
There’s a much more European feel to the village with a wide range of nationalities that both live here and are holiday makers including Brits, Belgiums, Dutch, French, Spanish and Italians So it’s a fun, friendly atmosphere to be a part of.
In short, Nendaz has a very pleasant down-to-earth feel about it. Allowing you to meet fun like-minded people.
